I\'ve stayed at 24K hotel for 5nights twin bed with windows. Even I spent 1nights alone but I didn\'t change my room. The room was quite bigger than we thought and carpet and bath tiles condition was exactly same as Jan Zhang mentioned below comments. The good thing was internet was free(you should plug in Lan line to back PC when you use it for the first time) and could connect own language. The location was not so far but it takes around 20 mins on foot from People\'s square station. so I usually took a taxi. Only female staff could speak English but anyone was not friendly even I always smiled to them. One night some quests was very noisy around at 2am. so I asked to reception but it was not very helpful and a staff was never felt sorry. Air conditioning was good but due to in September I turned off during my sleeping time. The most terrible memory was that some insects bite me sometimes, in the bed and on the chair. so I left them a memo to request disinfection with little tips when I left there. If I go to Shanghai again, I\'d not choose this hotel again even it\'s quite resonable price and free internet access. For your information, masage shop, cross the road hotel was good! Even whole body masage quite cheap and female owner could speak English and all staffs were very friendly.

This is the first budget hotel i stayed in Shanghai. I was staying in the cheapest room (RMB218) without window. One drawback from the room without window is the air-conditioner is quite strong winding even at the lowest level. So this is not so comfortable especially in Autumn. Overall I was irritated by the service there. None of the front desk staffs are friendly. Maybe this is China culture. Never been treated so badly in hotel from anywhere else even those less than USD 20 per room (but not in China). I had requested to check out at 1.00pm but they rejected and unfriendly asked me to check out LATEST by 12.30pm. If this is the case they should not stated in their card that welcome for late check out request without extra charges. I agreed as Jan Zhang said on the condition for the bathroom\'s tiles and carpet. Clear grey spot can be observed on the carpet. Lucky that the linen is quite clean. The mattress is very hard which seem like I am laying on the floor with one layer of thick cloth. Besides this, the room is not sound proof as you can hear very clearly if the housekeeping staffs are speaking while on duty. On top of this, the front desk staff is not at the reception all the time. I came back at 2am the lobby is a bit dark (one lamp is switched on) and no security staff there. But lucky there were quite a number of surveillance cameras inside the hotel premise. While for the location wise, this is quite convinience but not as stated in this website. It was not 500 m from the hotel to Nanjing walking street but it is 1200 m. The metro (People square station) is around 800 m from the hotel. Bonus is it is very near to YuYuan as it only take around RMB 11.00 taxi fare. From the here to Pudong airport it takes around 1 hour (with smooth traffic) and cost RMB 165. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone else unless really do not have any other choice.

Definitely a good location if you want lots of action. Always lots of people around just outside the hotel. Nanjing road is close by, People\'s Park. One night I came back and the power was out and stayed that way for at least 12 hours. We were the only location on the block who had lost power. That was the only inconvenince I experienced. I don\'t know what the cause was and if it was an isolated incident, otherwise I had my small room, but it wasn\'t too bad.

guys..these hotel is great ..and really the china hotels.net team is greater...i faced a problem in another hotel and asked them to transfer me to these hotel and they were very helpfull really... the hotel is located in a very good place..very nice rooms with clean bathroom and the most important thing is that the reception staff speaks english...belive me that\'s very important...it\'s very close to nanjing road and people\'s square and with a lot of 24 hrs shops around it...it\'s very good

My daughter and I stayed in the 24K hotel in Weihai Road for two nights in July. We loved the big room - plenty of room for us to spread out. Hot showers, cool airconditioning were positives. We were disappointed that we could not access the Internet as advertised - asked for help but nobody seemed to know what to do. Linen - bed sheets and towels - were all clean, but floors left a lot to be desired - floor tiles in bathroom needed a good scrub, carpet needed shampooing. The greatest plus for us in staying at 24K was location - we were within easy walking distance to Nan Jing Road and the metro. That, plus the excellent room rates, would encourage us to stay here again on our next visit to Shanghai.
