The location is about 10 - 15 minutes from the Forbidden City. The hotel is modern and clean. The staff was very helpful. I stayed with my mother, who is handicapped, and the staff was quick to help us every time we went in or out of the hotel. There are 2 steps to enter the hotel, they have a very steep ramp, but help is necessary. We called housekeeping for supplies and there was a knock at the door very quickley resolving the problem. All the staff was very accommadating and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Great location, within walking distance of many attractions, as well as banks and a small market open late for last minute snack attacks. Extremely helpful staff in all matters, great and small. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends

Very recommendable. Superb location. Quiet location in a back alley. When being driven to the hotel, have the local directions/map ready for the taxi driver, as not all drivers know it. (Ours couldn\'t find it at first. He was very kind and turned off the meter when he realized that it had to be nearby but seemed unfindable. We then changed to a riksha-driver who was - as a bike - allowed to cross the nearby main road into the small alley. The riksha-driver at first asked double the amount of the taxi, for the final fourty-second-ride ... after I immediately got out of the riksha again, he compromised ...)

Rod Harper booked the hotel that we stayed at recently in Beijing i.e. the Donjiaominxiang Beijing Hotel. I can only reinforce the comments that Rod Harper has already made. The location was great, the rooms were good and the staff helpful. The hotel provided a quality unobtrusive and helpful service to us and was a haven to come home to after a busy day visiting the sites of Beijing. We were very pleased with it and would recommend it to friends.

Excellent hotel with the right attention by staff. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Close to major attractions - the Square, Forbidden City, etc. all in walking distance. Courteous, friendly staff. Had difficulty trying to get ice for our drinks in the room, but by the third day, they had us figured out and had it ready for us! Highly recommended!
